Need for Speed Payback is set in Fortune Valley, a Las Vegas-like city full of gamblers. You take control of a racing crew consisting of three drivers specialized in diverse racing types. Tyler is your guy during drags and classic races, Sean is an off road and drift virtuoso, while Jesse is a runner. They’re bound by friendship and a will to take down a cartel known by the name of The House.

Ride the open world of NFS Payback behind the wheels of either tuned stock cars and supercars worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Explore Fortune Valley to find collectibles and new races to participate in. By day you may take part in official events. However, the fun starts after sundown because the night is the time for illegal races where you must beat your opponents and not get apprehended by the police. It’s up to you if you’ll come back to the garage after the first event or continue racing, raising the stakes but risking losing rewards. After all, this is a gamblers’ city!
